Story-Not-Storyteller

Title: Dorset Drabbles
Theme/s: Life
Length: 295 words
Author's Note: Written about my home-from-home; my beloved Dorset. I hope that love comes across in my writing ^_^
Warning: None.

Dorset Drabbles )A breeze drifts past, evidence of the open window near by, causing a curl of hair to tickle the pink of your cheek along with fluttering the curtain to life. A hand absentmindedly pushes it behind an ear as the breeze tries to unsettle it again, bringing with it the clean smell of freshly cut grass from the neighbouring field and the sound of circling seagulls cawing in the air above it.
Close your eyes and you are home.

Your toes press down into the sun-warmed sand, sinking under slightly. Rolling onto the balls of your feet, you look at the prints left behind, the natural version of the urban “I woz ‘ere”. Taking two steps and pressing down harder, water appears in the foot shaped well of your creation, caused by the not-so-far-away ebb and flow of the tide, lazily drifting on the shore; timing the pace of the waves, you think about how much less you mind passing seconds when it is shown by waves instead of watch. </div>

...Now, hello there. If you're here, I'm guessing you either 1) are a friend of my other journal, dame_de_mort, 2) came here due to my interests being the same as yours or 3) were just browsing.

Now, I've only started this today (after saying months ago that I would start an art/writing journal) , so nothing's up yet as you can see. I'm hoping to change that very soon. Most likely I'll have writing stuff up first (within this week, fingers crossed) and maybe some art stuff within a month (Maybe? Don't quote me).

I do have some writing up on my dame_de_mort journal, in the archive somewhere. Feel free to check that out while waiting for me to get this one organised.

Toodles!
